Do I pay a setup fee?

  1. No you do not pay any setup fee to us.
  2. This does not include fees required by InterNIC.
  3. Other fees may apply for special needs such as SSL, Database connection, additional POP3 accounts, etc. Please contact sales@awebpresence.com for more information.

Do I pay a setup fee for a transfer of a domain name?

No!  Setup fee for domain registration work does not apply if you are transferring to us from another Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Web Presence Provider (WPP).

Do you support FrontPage?

We fully support Microsoft® FrontPageTM 2000 and it's extensions. We currently host FrontPage sites that utilize Database connectivity, bots, forms, and CGI scripting. We do have the most up-to-date extensions available!

Do I have full CGI-bin access?

Yes!  You have full CGI bin access.

Web Presence Communications reserves the right to remove any scripts that may be adversely impacting the server or other clients.

Do you provide Dial-up access?

No.  We are not an Internet Service Provider! We only provide space on the net to house your websites. Hence the phrase WPP (Web Presence Provider). See us on the list of qualified WPP's referred by the Microsoft FrontPage team. This means we have been tested by Microsoft to ensure that we fully support FrontPage and the extensions are working properly.

Do you design websites?

If you find that your current account does not fit your needs or you have just simply out grown them. No problem. Just let us know and will upgrade your account to the level you need.

How can I check to see if the domain I want is available?

You can check to see the availability of a domain by using whois link @ InterNIC. Go to http://www.networksolutions.com

How does your company handle domain registration?

In order for InterNIC and Web Presence Communications to have the same information we must complete all domain registrations. We collect info from our clients, submit the proper paper work, and handle all communications with InterNIC.

What is propagation?

In order for the Internet to recognize your new domain, all ISP's must reset their tables of IP and DNS addresses. Once this is done then your site is recognized as having a domain name. This could take as long as two weeks.

What is the fee for domain registration?

This fee is $0. It covers all administration work concerning your new domain. Once you provide us with the information, we handle the rest. The only time you will hear from InterNIC is to confirm your new domain and handle the billing for registration with them. You will be billed separately for your new domain registration. The initial covers the cost for two years. Thereafter, you will be billed each year.

Is there a limit to the amount of data transfer per month?

One of our best features at Web Presence Communications is the fact that we know how frustrating it is to have limitations. When a WPP or ISP limits you to how much data transfer you can have a month, you spend more time worrying that you might exceed your limit rather than about how well your site will function. We do not impose limitations in the amount of data transfer you may have per month. You are free to develop like you were meant to. Without constricting limitations!

How do I transfer files to my web site?

If you are using MS FrontPage you simple point your mouse to <File> in FP Explorer and click publish. Choose your destination path and click OK. Your site is up and running in no time. If you don't use FrontPage your account can be setup with FTP and you can use any FTP program you wish. Connect to the server with your username and password. Find your files locally and point to where you want those files to go,. Then click your transfer button. Done.

We offer support if you have any difficulties. We can walk you through it.

Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?

Yes! As mentioned above, you have unlimited hits and data transfer to your site. You have 24 hour, 7 day a week access to your site for FrontPage or FTP updates.

Can I use my account for commercial purposes?

Yes. Your site maybe used for commercial purposes.

Do you accept international orders?

Yes.  If paying by check then all payments must be made in US Dollars. We also accept the following credit cards for payments: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and Dinners Club.

What contract and payment terms are available?

We except payment by money order, checks and many major credits cards.
We have no minimum contract requirement. However, we do require the first and last months rent at the time of setup. But this can be waived if you plan to pay quarterly.

How do I place an order?

Use our online order form. Please be detailed with your responses to the questions. This form is used to complete invoices and to set up your account. Any information that is left out will slow down the process and delay your ability to use your site.
